I've been on the lookout for a mascara since I didn't exactly own a mascara I was happy with and I was almost out :P when this mascara popped in my mail :D
As soon as I saw a mascara in my mail, I was so happy. It's always fun to see what exciting mail you get, I'm sure the bloggers would understand :P
What Loreal says:
Miss manga features a 360 degree flexible brush for effortless application.
Its unique brush has a flat surface to intensify and amplify upper lashes while its conical
shape capture the lower lashes.
Formulated with collagen spheres and polymers for ultimate volume and hold.
Their inspiration for this product were the Japanese comics!
The humongous eyes with the thick and long lashes - hence the manga eyes!
I was quite impressed with the packaging of Loreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara. It looked so matallic and futuristic..if you know what I mean. A nice and sturdy black tube with such a lovely metallic pink head!
I was happy to see the bristles as they were not the plastic ones, I usually am never happy with those. Plus these bristles are much softer on your lashes ^.^
The wand is of a conical shape which is great as the wide end catches on my longer lashes really well and the narrow tip makes sure to get the teeny-tiny baby lashes too.
I got the mascara in the Black shade although it is available in 2 other shades : Violet and Turquoise. However only the shade Black is available in Pakistan :( So sad, I would have loved to try the Violet one!
The formula is nice and thick and highly pigmented. After only one application, I was happy with the outcome. As you can see it did a great job at lengthening my lashes and giving them a bit of life and definition.
On the days I don't feel like applying makeup, I really do feel just applying mascara to my lashes is more than enough. So I like my lashes to look more on the natural side. This mascara gave me the perfect look I wanted it to, natural with volume.
However I felt that if you try and go for more than one coat, then it does tend to get clumpy and gives the spidery lashes look. Some people do prefer that kind of look, but I sadly, don't. :(
A little fun feature of this mascara is that it's wand can bend to your liking! Although I don't see how that would benefit the application process, but the flexible wand does tend to go easy on the lashes and you don't really have to apply to much pressure.
This Miss Manga Mascara is easily available at any Loreal counter for Rs1500/ 14$.
I have been using this mascara for almost 2 weeks now and I still am confused whether I would buy it again or not, as it's not exactly cheap but it is a good mascara to add to your collection.
What I liked:
* The conical wand shape and the bristles
* It is long lasting, it does not budge once it's on.
* It gives volume and definition to the lashes.
What I didn't like:
* Tends to clump up the lashes
* Slightly expensive.
Have any of your tried this mascara? What's your opinion? Do let me know!
Until next time girls ^.^
